Savings from Centralization of Telecom Expense Management

One of the most challenging tasks is to centralize a decentralized enterprise. Because participation by all managers is crucial, Invoice Insight held multiple, large-scale Web conferences to achieve consensus. By using the client's data to demonstrate BillPort® 's analysis tools and uncover savings, we easily justified the telecom consulting engagement. The result was 100% participation from the business units.

Implementation of Telecom Expense Management (TEM) in a decentralized environment is equally challenging, and a strong client advocate is essential. In this case, the advocate was the Purchasing Initiatives Manager from the Shared Services group. She spent approximately 20% of her time over a 2-month period coordinating and coaching her business units.

The result was a centralized voice and data communications spend environment that supports all 40 business units.
