Contract Compliance

PROBLEM AT&T failed to bill at contract rate for the client's calling card service.
OVERVIEW Calling Card Services allow users to make calls from any phone or payphone that are then billed to the calling card account. The service can be used for domestic as well as internationally originated calls. Calling Cards have several billing components. There is usually a "per call" surcharge that may be dependent on the type of call (international vs. domestic) and a usage component. Usage can be mileage and time-of-day sensitive and is billed based on the minutes of use. Applicable taxes and surcharges also apply.
SAVINGS Invoice Insight initiated a dispute with AT&T, which resulted in an immediate credit of $11,692 and an ongoing monthly savings of $1,300.

Actual telecom invoice cost reduction example - With all fees, calls were costing $1 to $2 per minute.

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? Many carriers have different billing systems or platforms for different products. Negotiated client contract information has to be entered manually. Entry may be incorrect or not performed at all.
